Meet the team
Your team consists of a dedicated Partner, Site Super and Project Manager, each having specifically designated roles to assure continuity throughout your project.
With this structure, we can maximize efficiency, while at the same time offer additional support without added cost. We know that when we take on a project it is both a commitment and the start of a relationship that will last long after your project is complete. At Segerson Builders we know that a specialized, collaborative team is essential to not only building a quality home on time and on budget, but also managing the process to make it an enjoyable experience.

Our Site Supers “own” their projects, take pride in their work -- and truly love what they do. They manage all field operations while at the same time working collaboratively with our clients, the project architect(s) and designer(s) and the office team to ensure that the complex task of building a high-end custom home is managed as efficiently and effectively as possible. Key tasks (among many others) include:

- Solicit, evaluate and present all pricing
- Schedule, manage and oversee subcontractors to ensure work is completed to the highest standards
- Schedule, receive and inspect material deliveries
- Maintain the timeline schedule
- Take “behind the wall” and “below grade” photos ensuring future work or changes can be planned meticulously
- Price and develop change orders
Our Project Managers run the administrative side of the project, working closely with our clients to source and price finish material selections. Key tasks (among many others) include:
- Create and maintain material schedules of all finish materials, ensuring that ordering replacement parts or future work can be effortlessly completed
- Order, track, manage and inspect deliveries of finish materials
- Manage and electronically file all incoming and outgoing documents
- Manage meeting agenda, and develop and distribute meeting minutes
- Create an “end of job box” which includes extended warranties, use and care instructions for maintaining your finishes, and a well organized complete digital file of the entire project
- Manage and distribute all change orders
Our Controller maintains meticulous records and produces to-the-penny and easy-to-understand invoices that track the costs and balances of your project, from start to finish. The controller also manages and maintains subcontractor reconciliations, paper work and insurance forms.
Permitting Expediters We have in-house staff members who are familiar with many of the local towns’ permitting processes and can efficiently assist with moving your application through the various town agencies as quickly as possible.

Organization, Planning, Scheduling, Communication
These four components are key to the success of any project:
- Organization: Starting in the estimating phase, organization can only be achieved with a well-structured filing system. We’ve developed and improved ours over the last 40 years
- Planning: There is no question that up-front, careful planning saves time and money in the end. We think through the logistics of your project breaking down the components to a manageable perspective, preventing costly “crisis management” and increasing project efficiency
- Scheduling: Prior to starting a project we develop both critical path and design decision timelines that are used to ensure proper planning and scheduling by our clients and our project team. Our design decision timeline is particularly helpful in breaking down into an easy-to-use, step-by-step process the overwhelming number of design decisions each client must make
- Communication: We realize that good communication is one of the most important factors in giving our clients piece of mind. We go out of our way to keep our clients up to date and fully informed

Organization/Planning
At Segerson Builders we use a highly organized filing system where all documents are scanned and filed to their appropriate folders, allowing quick and easy access for our project team, clients, architects, and subcontractors. This information is available to all involved in real time, 24/7, through our proprietary software called the I-BOSS (Internet-Based On-Site System). Real-time access ensures that all involved are up to date and on the same page with all the latest project information, proposals, material schedules, plans, and billing information. We also OCR and hyperlink our files allowing users to quickly search and navigate large documents.
Scheduling
At the beginning of each project we provide three main schedules:
- Critical Path Schedule: The Critical Path provides the overall timeline for the work being performed, broken down by each category and phase of the project
- Design Decision Schedule: At Segerson Builders, we understand that making all necessary design decisions can be a daunting task for our clients. We break down all major decisions on an easy-to-read timeline, and provide clients with the necessary information and pricing needed to make good, educated decisions. Working in the industry for 40 years has given us the experience to help clients fully understand the benefits and drawbacks of every project choice
- Payment Schedule: The Payment Schedule helps our clients plan their finances and monitor all project costs
Communication
Keeping our clients informed is a top priority for us. We understand the value it adds to the experience, and its importance to the overall success of our projects. Good communication and full transparency allow our clients to always be in the loop and feel comfortable with each step of their project. We also understand the importance of good communication with architects, subcontractors and the entire building team. We have a system of follow up that keeps everyone involved on the same page, and accountable for completing their specific tasks on time and on budget.
3Step
Execution
A highly successful project can only be achieved by close coordination between a seasoned project manager and a team of capable subcontractors. We know that matching the right subcontractors with the right projects is key to the continuity of the work flow. Over the past 40 years we have built a vast network of subcontractors and suppliers who have helped us gain the reputation we have today.

Our Subcontractors: Maintaining good relationships with the best local subcontractors is key to ensuring top-notch quality for every project. Segerson Builders works with a large network of subcontractors that have been working in the construction field as long as we have, and we consider them to be leaders in the industry. We are also proactive in finding new, well-vetted subcontractors and suppliers to improve the quality and price of our projects.
Our Suppliers: A good supplier not only gives good discounts but also provides exceptional service and follow-up. Our Project Coordinators have developed long-standing relationships with vendors in every project category allowing us to take full advantage of their discounts and receive the service we expect.
